I'd been meaning to have a go at making macarons for about 12 months. A good friend had a birthday recently so Emma and I whipped up these beauties...that pink filling? Half white chocolate, half double cream! Full on but so good.

yum! I've been dying to eat some good french macarons - saw them everywhere in Paris (v expensive!)
So thanks for the link, am going to stash that away for a bake off weekend - hmm that may have to be post Christmas the way things are heading!
